(O)rlando Elec(tron)ic (I)nteractive Entertainment (Con)vention

Since 2006, Otronicon has explored the science, art, technology, careers and fun behind simulation, robotics, videogames, virtual reality and digital media. Each year, multiple industry partners join Orlando Science Center to celebrate how digital media technologies impact the way we live, learn, work and play.

This event aims to spark interest in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) careers through the appeal of simulation, interactive technology, video games, and virtual reality. Otronicon promotes the innovation that is happening in our own backyard by providing unprecedented access to the creative professionals and technology that calls Central Florida home. Orlando is one of the largest digital media and simulation clusters in the country, which includes more than 1,200 companies, 30,000 creative specialists and estimated annual revenue of $9 billion.

Otronicon engages visitors in STEM experiences through a diverse selection of offerings. From keynote speakers and panels with industry experts to workshops on designing your own avatar, visitors of all ages will enjoy learning about today’s cutting edge technology and trends. One of Orlando Science Center’s largest events, Otronicon offers experiences like nowhere else.

Fly a real-world military simulator, operate a surgical robot or get a preview of tomorrow’s technology through interaction with some of our community’s up and coming start-ups and established players. In addition, play video games ranging from classic arcades to current platforms, learn how games are designed and even watch some being created before your eyes. Plus, connect with others who have taken their love of technology into the worlds of art, music, and costuming through live performances and displays.

Otronicon is a celebration of technology in all its forms and functions. Join us as we continue the tradition that showcases these technologies, their impact on our lives and their potential to drive the future, individually, regionally and globally.
