Otronicon: Know Before You Go

If you’re planning to check out Otronicon, read on to maximize your visit. There is a lot of information below, but we really think you’ll find these hints helpful so please take a moment to review them to ensure you have a fantastic Otronicon experience.

Be prepared for check-in

Otronicon can be treated like any other general admission day, but you can reserve tickets in advance to expedite check-in! Have your pre-purchased tickets or OSC membership card and corresponding photo ID out and ready so you can be scanned in with ease.

Create a parking plan

The OSC garage sometimes fills up at peak times, or there could be a long line. Check the alternative parking map if you’re visiting on Saturday or Sunday, and consider carpooling, walking, or riding a bicycle to the event.

Register for workshops & competitions

Workshops at Otronicon require separate tickets and space is limited. Head to the Club House on Level 1 when you arrive to view the workshop/competition schedule for the day and sign up for the ones you’d like to participate in. You can also click here to register for competitions in advance.

Get your waivers signed

Unaccompanied minors (17 and under) will need a waiver signed to participate in competitions, enter the mature gaming area, or experience Motion Sphere. Click here to download the waiver and fill it out before you arrive to make sure your parent/guardian is able to sign it if visiting Otronicon alone.

You can also download the official Otronicon event app on Android before you arrive!

Visit multiple days

Otronicon is a four-day event for a reason! You just can’t do it all in one day. By becoming an Orlando Science Center member, you can visit Otronicon all four days if you’d like without even paying admission.

Pro tip: Try visiting at less crowded times (early morning or late afternoon). Friday and Monday typically see a slightly lower attendance than Saturday and Sunday.

Q: Can I put photos of the exhibits on my social media channels?

A: Absolutely! Our exhibitors would love if you share your favorite experiences. Be sure to tag Orlando Science Center on social media and use #Otronicon so we can see it through your eyes. And don’t forget to use the Otronicon Snapchat filter on your selfies!

Q: What if I still have questions?

A: If your question has not been answered above and you cannot wait until you arrive for an answer, please comment in our Facebook event and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Alternatively, you can email us at [email protected] for ticket-related inquiries. Email is preferred as we are responding to a high volume of calls at this time.
