At Otronicon, you can live out your rock star dreams at the Rock Band Experience on the Darden Adventure Theater stage. Play this popular game with real concert lights, real concert sound and of course, a real concert crowd! New for this year, create your own Fab Four with The Beatles Rock Band!
Take part in competition to show what you’ve got or just take the stage for free play. Who knows - the Rock Band Experience might just be your big break!

During the “Battle of the Bands” at Otronicon, competitors will be judged upon accuracy/technical skill; performance and audience engagement. There will be three judges:
- The Technical Judge, a.k.a. “The Simon”, will rate the band’s accuracy, competence with the instruments, and overall ability to play the song effectively.
- The Performance Judge, a.k.a. ”The Paula”, will judge the band based on their overall ability to play the game well, add a personal touch to their songs, and their level of entertainment they provide through the game.
- The Engagement Judge, a.k.a. “The Randy”, will judge the band based on their ability to engage the audience, their confidence and attitude on stage, as well as their effective band cohesion.
There are multiple prizes to be won. Rock Band is a team competition with a registration fee of $20 per team (in addition to Otronicon admission for each team member).
